Note for members of the Institute during the Corona crisis:
From now on, you can find in our online catalog about 40,000 e-books with a focus on history. These are available for you on the ProQuest Ebook Central platform (accessible outside the Institute via EZproxy) for a limited period until December 31st, 2021. For more information, please see the "Library News".

In the library catalogue of the Max Planck Institute for Human Development you can search for printed books and journals as well as other non-digital media (e.g. DVDs) from our holdings. You will there also find our electronic journal titles, e-books acquired especially for the Institute, and numerous other e-books that can be used at research institutions throughout Germany thanks to the financial support of the German Research Foundation. E-books accessible to all institutions of the Max Planck Society are searchable on the platform MPG.eBooks.

We also offer an overview of new acquisitions of the last three months, arranged by month and subject area.

Further information on the printed and electronic information resources available at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development – electronic resources also include a wide variety of databases – as well as on how to use the library in general can be found on our Internet pages and on the intranet (only for members of the institute) of the Library and Research Information.

Members of the Institute with their own can also use the library catalogue to order media from the library's stock for loan or to reserve borrowed media for themselves.
